Who I Follow

As a journalist, sometimes functionality has to take precedence over style—mostly because I never quite know what I’ll be doing in a given day.

Case in point, last Thursday. I thought it would be an easy, low-key day after three days of crazy deadlines. And, in a way, it was. But I certainly didn’t expect I’d be hanging out with the local police department’s new K9, playing the decoy and hurling insults at the officer to get the pup to bite me.

And that, my friends, is why I always keep a spare pair of flats in my office. Because even though this ensemble—BR outlet blouse, BR blazer, Target pencil skirt and Loft Outlet tights—worked better with heels, pumps just don’t do it when you’ve got a 78-pound German shepherd hurdling straight for you.

Oh, and P.S.? This is totally why I love my job.

So, I love Anastasia, Belle and Aurora. Yes, please.

Even though Anastasia isn’t Disney, I love ALL of these. Belle and Aurora win in my book <3

I would like Pocahontas’s top, Tiana’s boots, and Anastasia’s hair, pls.

And Ms. Ridzel on a hypothetical Batgirl Corps books.

(By the way, she’s 17.  I’m not even an artist and that makes me want to kill myself.)

Love this post from Sally on how to step outside your comfort zone while still dressing like yourself.
